The Alumni Association delivers a variety of different events throughout the year and it is our goal to expand the events in each chapter region while ensuring that each event meets the needs of its intended audience. Class of 2009: Your Health Insurance May End Sooner Than You Think!

The Alumni Association has made health insurance available to fill the needs of many students who will be without insurance after graduation. Parental policies often end as early as the day before graduation. And, for those on the school’s plan, our student health insurance ends on August 14, 2009. Even if you’ve already secured your first job, coverage through a new employer seldom starts on the first day. Most products are available to family members as well —even if they didn’t attend Franklin Pierce University. Don’t risk going without health insurance, especially when affordable options are available.

April 2009 Alumni award nominations for Evening of Excellence 2011 are now open.

The Alumni Association invites you to participate in the nomination process for the 2011 Leader of Conscience, Alumni Participation, and Outstanding Service Awards. Awards are presented at the Evening of Excellence event during Alumni and Reunion Weekend. Click here for award criteria and the nomination form. The deadline for nominations is March 1, 2010. Please contact the alumni relations office with any questions.

April 2009 Alumni and Reunion Weekend 2009 will be held on October 23-25, 2009.

ARW 2009 planning is beginning now.  Kyle Provost '05, will assume the role of ARW Committee Chair in July and is working with Marcy (Pollack) Fink '72 to ensure a smooth transition.  Milestone classes ending in 4 and 9 will be honored.  If you are interested in becoming involved in the planning process for YOUR reunion, please contact Marcy or alumni@franklinpierce.edu .

This issue of the newsletter contains information about the Alumni Association Board of Directors nomination and election process, Dr. George Hagerty’s retirement news and more. The Franklin Pierce University Alumni Relations Office and the Alumni Association are joining together to support the University's ecological conscience initiative by going green!

In order to serve you better, we will be utilizing e-mail and the Web site to provide updates about what is happening at Franklin Pierce. We need your help to make this initiative successful. Please click on the Update Your Information link and provide us with your preferred e-mail address and any other updated information. This is all we need to keep you in the loop.

The Alumni Perspectives newsletter will no longer be published as a printed publication but will be available online in January. This important issue will contain information about the nomination and election of alumni association board members along with an update about the PACE program and how you can share your career experiences with current Pierce students. You won’t want to miss it.
